EPSI

Formed by a group of senior educationists, educational entrepreneurs, intellectuals, industry leaders and policy makers EPSI has assumed a catalytic role in promoting the growth and quality of education in India. The society coordinates between Government and institutional operators, between academia and industry between the student community and beneficiary employers and between national and international bodies committed to the advancement of education.

Education Promotion Society for India is a not for profit autonomous nodal agency, a catalyst Chamber, for promotion of Indian Education with mandate from the Universities and educational institutions as its Members. The need for such an organisation was felt to stimulate the education sector, make it vibrant and dynamic. In-spite of more than 60 years of planned initiatives, level of education i.e. literacy, access, quality and adaptability to challenging global scenario is still way behind the expectations. The broad objectives and the activities held in the last four years are briefly described in the introduction enclosed herewith.

EPSI has embarked upon an ambitious path and has undertaken following activities as its delivery besides being the national catalyst agency for Policy Advocacy. Activities that EPSI is majorly taking up are accreditation, certification, testing, faculty development programme, international linkages programme, research and development, consultancy services, India education portal, EPSI- TCS initiative for customized ERP solutions, EPSI India international fair, and exhibition and services.

EPSI is taking up issues on behalf of the academic world with Government and industry for quality education delivery and employability. In the present circumstances, it is the need of hour to facilitate the Academia, Industry and the Government to sit across the table and take up the debate in right perspective to face challenges from within and abroad. EPSI bridges the requirements by duly focusing on education sector and positioning the country’s requirements and achievements in place.
